The weeks after Christmas and New Year’s are filled with events showcasing 2007 bridal trends.
At trunk shows and bridal expos in the area, you can take a peek at the latest styles for wedding gowns and talk to everyone from florists and caterers to fashion designers.
• Bridal and Formal Inc., 300 West Benson Street in Cincinnati, will host a trunk show of styles from Mori Lee with designer Madeline Gardner in the store to offer some expert guidance.
The following weekend, Jan. 12 through 14, collections from Amsale, Christos and Kenneth Pool will be shown and you can meet Austin Scarlett. One of the contestants on the first season of Bravo’s Project Runway, Scarlett is now the designer and creative director of Kenneth Pool.

The Kentucky Flea Market, featuring arts, crafts, antiques and collectibles, is this weekend at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
Hours are noon to 6 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. Admission is free.
Antiques Roadshow appraisals
The University of Kentucky Art Museum Discovery Day will offer antique appraisals by experts from PBS’s Antiques Roadshow, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 6. There is a fee of $10 per appraisal with a limit of three per customer. For advance tickets, call (859) 257-4929.
